On March 9, 2025, our Los Angeles Dharma Center came together in a spirit of joy and gratitude to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the global Buddhist movement of Rissho Kosei-kai. The gathering began with the powerful resonance of group chanting from the Lotus Sutra, setting a deeply spiritual tone for the day.
We were moved by the inspiring personal journey shared by our senior leader, Keiko Adachi-san, followed by the presentation of a Dharma Award to Tanaka-san, whose heartfelt speech uplifted everyone present. Adding to the excitement, our member Nora announced her commitment to helping our community grow through social media, highlighting Rev. Dr. Kyohei Mikawa, the minister of RKLA, whose Instagram

The service also included the presentation of certificates of appointment, recognizing the dedication of our members. We concluded with a heartfelt hoza (reflective group sharing), offering space for reflection and discussion in both Japanese and English/Spanish-speaking groups. It was a truly memorable celebration, reinforcing our shared mission and deepening our connections as a sangha.
